Tagmask lets programmers share posts in a personalized feed.

Tagmask is a new community created specifically for programmers, which lets users share and discuss articles, blogs and other content between people with similar interests. It allows developers share posts with other people who enjoy reading about similar topics, and consequently stimulate interesting discussions on the subject.

In some ways, Tagmask is a more personalized version of  Hacker News. The site uses a content-filter which lets users find posts by tag or author. This means that if you only wish to read posts about, for example, Ruby and Linux, you would set those two topics as tags and Tagmask will only show you content in that field.

Try out Tagmask here.

  1. The success of the site will depend significantly on the quality of the people who use it however, much like Hacker News. If nobody posts high quality content, it won’t succeed.

    1. The content that’s there already looks pretty expansive and high quality though, we’ll have to see if that continues.

Considering the decline in quality of Hacker News, maybe this will be a replacement? Thoughts?
